Blue Sky, Allman Brothers
Last Friday, July 29, was David Adcock's birthday. The songs on today's playlist all remind me of David's show, but especially if they are programmed to complement and segue in to each other perfectly. "Blue Sky" is the one that I consider David's unofficial theme song. Like the bells in the lyrics, David's tunes rang in the air on Sundays. And like the song says, it always made me high when David turned his love our way.
This Sunday's tunes have that David Adcock Sunday morning feel good sound that most remind me of David and of Toons 'Til Two. These, and many more, especially the blues, and local artists' songs, and the lonesome rockabilly cowboy songs that the Revue has yet to present.
Thank you, David. And we truly still appreciate your attention today when we hear these old tunes that you played for us every Sunday morning.
